Sorry about that. I guess I should have read it a little more carefully, but I wasn't interested in it for myself. I was kind of wondering why someone would put all that meta data at the bottom too.

No apologies needed, Capt! (These idiots wouldn't do it if it didn't catch someone's attention...)
Carry on...

I think you misunderstood the ad. The Columbia 43s were built between 1969 to 1974. They meant auxiliary power rather than optional. Besides, those bought are barely worth that much.

I know what an auxiliary is, I have one such
The content of the ad is, shall we say, suggestive of a scam. If you're asking $300 for something then OK, be a bit terse.
If you're asking $30K, put a bit of effort into it! And as many pictures as possible.
The ad actually used the words "OPTIONAL POWER" which is suspicious to me. And there's a whole bunch of irrelevant boating-type terms to trigger search engines...

I totally agree it needs some pictures. This is the kind of boat where dear old dad went toes up and the son in law was tasked to get rid of it.

Cruising down the coast of Mexico, Radar alarm on, auto pilot on, crew member on watch when he's not taking pictures of me snoozing.

All
I bought a 34' Irwin Citation project for $1500.
We now sail it around the Chesapeake but have documented all our efforts and the sailing in a YouTube channel called Sailing With Faith. Faith is the name of the boat.
I fully welcome any comments, anything you see that you like or would do differently.
There are 9 videos, I suggest you start at the beginning but here is the latest.

Stay safe and happy sailing. Oh and please 'SUBSCRIBE' so you get notice of the next ones.

1974 Coronado 45 - $24,000 (Seattle WA)
This looks totally different from the smaller Coronados. A long time ago I was considering purchasing a 41. The price was right, but I just thought that the boat was ugly. I like the lines on this one a lot better.

A very clean boat in reasonable condition for its age. Price is reasonable too. If someone buys this and gets the apparently decent present owners to teach them all about it, that is golden...

Same hull as the Columbia 45. Could be a really good deal as long as the keel bolts good. I'd probably plan on replacing them, but other than that could be a great deal.

Someone threw a ton of money at this thing 10 years ago.
The exterior is tired, possibly needs painting and the wood needs refinishing.
The boat is small. Tiller steering.
I'm not a fan of leather interior upholstery. It feels cold, is slippery and squeaks, but it stays clean and keeps the moisture out (and in!)
Speaking of slippery...that Corian galley counter under the companionway is an accident waiting to happen. First job, put an attractive piece of Treadmaster on it, and on the ladder rungs.
It might have davits, which is a bonus, the photos miss that bit. A radar arch is overkill on a boat this size, imo. Check if that much weight far back has upset the boat's lines.
Swing keel needs careful inspection, it could get stuck down or up at that age.
This would make a good small liveaboard. Relatively cheap to own and run and probably cheap to dock. With the draft you can get into slips that other sailboats can't reach.
I think it would impress the ladies
