Fortunately for me being an inspector is kind of a lone wolf job so nobody from my company was any the wiser and contractors are disinclined to complain about 5min or so here or there because annoying inspectors is counter productive overall to what they want from us, namely a clean report saying all was hunky dory. I personally don't mess with the results inspections to vent my spleen at annoying contractors, I find ways to make them look mediocre in print instead. I was not happy about being late though.

Sorry, Adelie. I didn't mean to be ungenerous.
I did get your "thanks for flagging" PM, but as I receive them automatically when anything is flagged, there was still no explanation
of why the thread had been closed. (As far as I knew, a Mod had seen the flag, but the thread was going to remain closed because some internal decision.)
As we are not Moderators with access to the admin side of things, it was still mystifying why the thread had been suddenly closed... that's all I meant. Absolutely no disrespect was intended to you, Adelie. As you know, you've helped me out countless times on this Forum and I'm grateful.
Sorry I made you late for work!
Later on, Don revealed it was just some sort of glitch - which was both a relief and an explanation.

Darn that Adelie, I was working on a really good explanation for it too, one with purple cows on the dark side of the moon shooting lasers and hitting our satellites and destroying 5G... well it's a work in progress...

“Thanks for flagging” is not automatically sent, when I am part of the discussion about a flag I specifically use the Thanks button to encourage people to flag unless another mod indicates they’ve TY’d. . Some people are motivated by being thanked or by their “Thanks” count. Some of your flags probably have not been thanked and some may have been thanked twice because different mods thanked you. I use the Thanks button, I believe others may send a personal PM.
Don’t worry about me being late for work, I’m habitually late, dealing with the glitch was that day’s reason (hhhmmm, excuse) for being late.
I didn’t explain because doing so would have made me later still and wasn’t nearly as important as reopening the thread.

Pearson Vanguard $10,000. If she wasn't so narrow, I'd buy her. Not far from me at 4 hours away.

At least you'd be out on the water.

I'm looking for something close to 40 feet to live aboard. When I get a boat, I'm selling my house and making a go at full time cruising.

48 Fuji Sailboat - $6,900 (Warwick RI)
This one really hurts to pass on and I doubt it's going to be available for long.
Unfortunately, no telling what his storage fees are going to be.
