I think if you are a broker you need to post in the Vendor category.

No I am not a broker, just looking at this boat and not being very experienced in sailboats. Thought I would ask more experienced people their view.

I am resume you have seen Brewers web page on that design?

https://www.tedbrewer.com/sail_wood/capecarib.htm

Have a Brewer Murray 33 in steel, a very different boat. But we are gery pleased with it.

Ted is/was a very talented designer. That there were quite a few built is a good sign.

She is what she is, a full keel boat, rather light displacement.

If she surveys half as well as she looks in thr pictures, and you want that type of boat, it appears to be a good buy.

It deserves a serious look over by someone competent.

Not much we ca say from afar.

This one has been on E-Bay and nobody is bidding on it at the above price. What they don't mention in the Craigslist ad is that it sank in fresh water during the freeze this winter. It has also been vandalized and at least one of the winches has been cut out of the deck. You can see the pic of the hole in the E-Bay bid, but they don't show it here. It might actually be worth it if you can get them down in the $19K range and the vandalization isn't much worse.

not a cut out winch, a cubby for line storage. Here's a better view from a cleaner 45'

besides the winch in that location would be woefully off center to do any good.

Cal 40's, designed by Bill Lapworth are downwind racing machines. Many still compete in the transpac race to Hawaii. At one time, my wife and I were trying to find one.

My first thought was that there must be something major wrong with it or the engine is no good (which would always have to be checked,) but looking at it again, wow, that might be a very good deal.

1978 Bristol 32' Sailboat - Maryland

Nice little Bristol on EBay. $820 for it currently with fees included. Not sure what's going on in picture #10? Probably a minor unfinished project that was in progress by the previous owner. Maybe the bids will stay low enough that it might actually be worth bidding on.

"Research indicates this model won prestigious races. This is a graceful and beautiful sailboat, which was built with an interesting skeletal spine of metal, wood and fiberglass shell."
Kind of sounds like a scam.
