Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
It's a good thing that I am still a year away from "buying mode", because I am stupid enough to go for that TAYANA 42.

Not stupid, Say another 22k for engine 8 for solar Tayana 42 for 50k+/- seems pretty good. I mean obviously more like 65k when all said and done but still.....

How does a foot of water utterly destroy engine and generator?
I’m thinking a foot is sugar coating the real amount.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Florida sun and heat creates a greenhouse, 100% humidity condensing out on the engine and electrical bits.
I saw a boat in Indian River Marina. The broker did not show but had the yard let us in. Olen the companion way that the smell of mold wacked you. Everything inside was coated with the black stuff. Everything was wet. Steel boat. All hatches, ports etc were closed tight.
Leaving the boat I mentioned to the yard the boat should be allowed to air out. “Yup.” He said as he snapped the lock shut and walked away.

If I were still in San Diego, I'd be taking a look at this one:

I think this one's negotiable. Drive a hard bargain and try to get at least half off:
