Howdy!
I am glad you like this thread. I aim to keep it going as I see boats I think fit the criteria (and you or anyone can add boats too). Evergreen thread.
As for the links? I post them when I see a boat for sale. Sometimes the listing is very recent (recently put up for sale). Those boats may sell fast (if they are a great deal) or they may linger.
I have NO Money connection to any of the sellers, brokers, or boats.
So, if the link is dead, it is likely because the boat sold.
My primary purpose of this thread is to ILLUSTRATE the types of boats that are available at this price point (Asking Price = LESS than $30K).
I do that by posting a few photos and a link to a currently advertised boat, so others can see it and possibly take action. I hope that if we all do this, we may help one another find "good deals" on "outstanding boats" and so help our sailing community (both sellers and buyers).
Good luck boat hunting!

I think Innovative Marine went out of business in the late 80's so the only Beachcombers you'll find are usually on Craigslist. I did find this boat for sale this week & it's a real step up from a Beachcomber although it's a big step up in price too.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Great thread! I am currently in the under 10k range and just recently looked at a Pearson 34'. https://sarasota.craigslist.org/boa/5817069973.html The asking price is 9800. From what I saw this boat is exactly what he advertised. it needs a fair amount of TLC in the interior. Anybody own a Pearson 34' have any advice? there is way too many electronics we need to rip out to name. The motor started right up but he did say he thinks there in an alternator problem. There in a compressor that is not working but he has not investigated it. He has only owned this boat for a couple months he sailed down from Tallahassee but does not have time for the project. Thanks in advance for the advice!

That looks like a nice find to me, because of the price point it is attractive.
Looking at the photos, it does not show anything that looks "bad" and interior refinishing can be done over time with new cushions, new cushion covers, and sanding and refinishing (oil or varnish or paint) to the interior to give it a new look. Some owners spend about $2500 on new settee cushions and such, while others make their own.
Of course the major things like ENGINE, SAILS, and HULL condition are the most important.
But, as a starting point, at $9800, it looks like a good candidate for consideration and possible refit.
BUT...since there is a very nice looking boat available in Miami for $13,900....I would look carefully and consider the total costs to match the two. For example the one in Miami has a Bimini and some nice interior already. Factor that into costs.
https://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa/5810785529.html
Good luck on your decision.
And you did mention "electronics." I saw the photo below of the switch panel or electrical panel and do want to mention it is the only one I have seen like that (with so many additions).

Mojito is still for sale... Had some "tire-kickers" but no serious offers yet.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Endeavour 32
I am posting this boat to represent a type or model of boat that is often seen at asking prices below $30K.
Notes from SAILBOATDATA.com
The ENDEAVOUR 32 was the first boat from Endeavour and was actually the same basic hull as the earlier IRWIN 32 with modifications by Dennis Robbins, in-house designer for Endeavour at this time. Other changes to the design (by Bob Johnson?) were made in 1980.
Earlier ENDEAVOUR 32's could be purchased with a fin keel or keel-centerboard (like the IRWIN).
By 1979, both the deep fin keel and keel-centerboard versions had been dropped in favor of a shallower draft, fixed keel model. Shown here is the later version.
See ENDEAVOUR 32 CB for more details.
Keel/CB version:
Draft BD: 7.83' Draft BU: 3.5'
Shoal draft fixed keel: 3.16'
1977 model
Asking Price (Oct 2016) $22,500
Location: Miami FL
This particular boat is currently on Craigs List Miami.
https://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/bod/5813531688.html
I am posting it here because after viewing the sale listing photos, I think this is the "cleanest" looking boat of this type I have seen online. Also note the newer engine.
Some notable features for the Endeavour boats are the shallow draft and the numerous opening portlights for ventilation.
For this particular boat:
2002 Yanmar 3 cyl 27 HP diesel 1130 hours, New ports hatches and cushions, Refrigeration 12 volt, Force 10 LPG stove and oven, New AC and DC panels, Autohelm autopilot, Furuno depth and speed, Mainsail, 125%, 100%, Stor

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
If I were in the market for a sub 30K, boat I would be on my way to Long Island to look at the boat linked below. A S&S designed, Hinckley 38, being sold by the original owner, "new" engine (fine print says 10 hours since rebuild), new paint, good suit of sails, rod rigging, etc, Great designer & excellent builder. All at an asking price of $25K!. For disclosure sake, I have no interest or affiliation with the boat.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Pacific Seacraft Flicka 20
Asking Price (Oct 2016) = $10K - $30K+
You can find several Flickas listed for sale. Here is a list (updated every few months) on the "Flicka site" where you can learn more about this boat.
The lowest priced one is just $10K.
Flickas For Sale
Draft = 3' 3"
The Flicka is one of my favorite boats to see. It is "cute" and loved by their owners. Some have sailed across oceans. They can be trailered. They are known as surprisingly roomy for a 20 foot boat. They are considered a "blue water" boat and only 20 feet long. Full keel. Some have inboard Diesel engines, some have outboard motors. Some have porta-potty portable heads, some have a marine toilet. Some are "kit" or owner finished interiors, and some were factory finished. The photos below are from a mix of boats. Look to the page link above to see specific boats for sale.
Additional Specs, Equipment and Information:
Dimensions
LOA: 24 ft 0 in
Beam: 8 ft 0 in
LWL: 18 ft 0 in
Maximum Draft: 3 ft 3 in
Displacement: 6000 lbs

If only Flicas were a bit more like the Tardis when it comes to interior room. As when it comes to ease of handling, boats of her size rock.
