F10 is there any chance you could post a clearer picture of that tiller ending? It looks like a modification I would like to make on our yacht.

Sure, Give me a few days (maybe early next week) and I'll post some pics. The ending was added to the wood tiller. The ending is a stainless ring of about 1.5 inch diameter 316 stainless tubing. The ring is about 11 inches outside diameter. The ring is slipped over the end of the tiller. The ring tubing is welded where the tubes connect. Any good bow pulpit fabrication shop should be able to make one. Critical to have high quality tubing and welding otherwise it will corrode. Just a correction- the circle part is about 1.5 inch diameter tubing, part that slips over wood tiller is bigger- just looked at the pic, but I will get better pics and actual dimensions next week.

South of the Mason Dixon Line. I think the Alabamans' just refer to their state as BAMA. At least that was what the bumper stickers read when I was last down south.

That one has been for sale quite a while...surely it can't just be the dubious taste of the boom painting, the lovely name, or the artwork in the head?
