True enough.
In 2>3 wars the Navy found that one of the most "useful" ships was a "Cruiser".
Didn't have the lightweight speed of the Destroyer, nor the firepower of a Battleship.
But it had the displacement/load carrying ability to stay at sea long "enough".
The guns were big "enough", and the crew requirements were reasonable.
It didn't do anything the "best" but was a jack-of-all-trades that could do a majority of things pretty well.
Ok, now returning to regular programming.
