Bilge and keelbolts on a 1982 Beneteau first 35

I visited a 1982 Beneteau first and it generaly looks in good shape but the keelbolts are not visible. It seems the bilge were doubled up with fiberglass. There are lumps where the bolts should be, even what looks like wires or piping is covered.

That can't be a factory job, right?


The keel looks better than all the 80s boat I've seen so far but I'm not fond of what I'm seeing in the bilge...

it's common to see keel bolts covered in laminate, but it's best to clear these plugs to check the bolts and be warned of any leaks
I don't know about covered pipes ...

I have a later year bene and they are not covered. You could always ask a surveyor to take a look.
