This boat is also listed on the Mahina List for good offshore boats. It seems a little light for that at only around 8,000 - 8,500lb displacement at 31' LOA.

The one I found has the larger 22 hp Westerbeke Engine V drive I believe

A lot of fine boats mentioned! I would suggest you look at the Independence 31 (Ericson 31C). Classic shape with beautiful reverse stern and out hung rudder. Classic lines and easily driven mod keel, Cutter rig on a 11-12K lb boat. A lot of them available if you look and in incredible shape occasionally. I had her bigger sister the Ericson 36C and loved it. Much roomier than the 31C and sailed about the same.

Wylie built a west system double ender of 31 feet that was an ultralight of the day and fast. That would be my other choice for 31 feet. I have wet dreams about that boat.

Yankee 30. I think for the money they go for they are hard to beat and they are great sailors.
