Beneteau Oceanis 39?

Hi!
Just a short question.

Would you take a Beneteau Oceanis 39 or 411 on a circumnavigation?
Especially if we talk safety and comfort..

Best
Andreas

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Re: Beneteau Oceanis 39?

Hell yea. We currently own one and it has been through some pretty wicked storms. Sailed it form Miami to Grenada and back. It handled like a champ. We will soon take it across oceans, no worries here!

Re: Beneteau Oceanis 39?

Yep sure would! Unless someone offers me the use of a Lagoon 440 first. Last I knew the President of Beneteau was still sailing around in a 411 and he has his choice of the fleet.

Re: Beneteau Oceanis 39?

I looked at one but had to eliminate it immediately because of insufficient headroom. Surprised me because I had just checked out a First 42 which leans more toward racing and it had 6'6"-6'7". The 39 has really crappy headroom for a boat that size.

The 393?

Mine has about 6' 8" all over and 7 foot or more in the Saloon.
