The waterline more or less defines how uch storage space you get, the additional storage thanks to the overhang is quite small. In practice you pay for the upkeep (marina, paint etc.) of a 36 footer while you get maybe a fruit basket more space than a 32 footer. Actually this is something I don't like in that nic43, paying 43' of berth and get barely more space than 33' (e.g. one cabin only)
