Battery isolator question

I’m looking at new batteries to replace what I now have. I currently have group 31 house batteries, a single group 31 engine battery and 2 group 24 bow thruster batteries. I have a single charger, but the boat which I bought new has a meter which as u toggle through shows the volts of each of the 3 stated configurations.

I’m trying to up my house bank as it’s to low for my usage. In discussions with the manufacturer they recommended not mixing different sixes on the same bank. I have read hundreds of posts and know there are many opinions on this.

Here is my question, since the boat currently has the meter which shows each bank voltage, can I assume that they each are configured with isolators so the mixing of different sizes is no longer in play?

Re: Battery isolator question

Cannot assume anything.

But when the voltages are different, they are isolated.

May be any one of a dozen different device types, isolator is a largely outdated one.

You should only have one big House bank, same model and mfg date batts.

All charge sources direct to that.

Starters combined when a charge source is active, ACR/VSR most common these days.
