BC, that's not a very definitive photo, i'm afraid. If you could get one from the side it would be better. I know it's hard with it in a marina berth, but seeing it from nearly bows on gives little chance of ID.

Does it have a high cabin(wheel house) at the sterns end? Motorsailer? Need a better pic angled from the stern.

I was thinking a Roberts Design myself, in fact it looks like one I'm interested in buying.

Maybe the best thing to do would be go on Yachtworld. Put in 34 to 40 steel and see if anything similar comes up. Kind of a long shot.

Re: Anyone know what type of sailboat this is?
I'd go with the homebuilt, as well as the run away fast. Look at those hatches! Is that an indication of the level of carpentry on the interior?! The boat has been neglected. Every single plate in it is questionable at this stage.

Re: Anyone know what type of sailboat this is?
The convex foredeck hints at a Robert Tucker design, but the stem doesn't.

Re: Anyone know what type of sailboat this is?
It could be a variation on the Endurance 36 plans.. modified to home builders specs.

If this boat is up in "The Great White North" maybe that's a wooden cover to protect the hatches during winter storage???

If it were mine I would rename it Blue Zebra. Turn a problem into a feature and go sailing.
