Anyone know a good surveyor in upper Chesapeake Bay area?

Hello,

I'm thinking of making an offer on a 1981 Shannon 38 in Rock Hall, Maryland, and I'd like to line up a surveyor. Anyone have one they feel strongly about?

This will be my second boat but my first survey so if you have any advice on what to ask for I'd love to hear it. I'd like to arrange haul out, full survey and sea trial and I plan on being there for it. I'm probably going to forego trying to arrange a separate visit from a mechanic. Let me know if you disagree with this, but the boat is extremely well maintained in general, the Yanmar motor is less than 3 years old, and I believe I can check it out well enough myself with a careful checklist. Even so, I'm hoping the surveyor will be willing to offer an opinion on that after the sea trial. Is that a reasonable approach?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
