After
purchasing our 1979
Allied sea
wind 2 in March, we are just now getting around to
cleaning up the transom for a new name. The two previous names we had already known of were still plainly visible as the layers of
adhesive and
paint were cleaned off; and then it became apparent that there was a third-and original name down beneath: CHIMERA. Does anyone out there have any recollection of a
cutter rigged
Allied (unusual) of that name that was around the
chesapeake bay in the early 80's? Any help would be appreciated as an addition to the
history of this lovely old
boat. The names that followed CHIMERA were LIVELY, and DIANA LYNNE. The
boat was never documented under its original name of CHIMERA.
