Anybody have a 1974 Irwin 33 ?

I am purchasing this boat tomorrow . Fits the bill of what I'm looking for in my next boat. Would like to hear pros and cons of someone who has had experience with one?

Hi, Go to the Irwin Sailboats group...a great bunch....You have to ask for permission but it's a formality...I have a 77 I30 and they have helped me with so much stuff...
Good luck and you will enjoy your Irwin for sure.

Re: Anybody have a 1974 Irwin 33 ?

i have a 37ft cc, before that a 31, only problem i have with either one was getting friends to go home. i have taken both south (solo on the 31) and had no problems (exept a broken hose on the i.c.w, not the boats fault) good boats. solid hulls, (no core, unlike most other boats) good room for storage, nice interiors, easy to sail and maintain. get a survey (on any boat you buy) to be sure there are no problems and have fun.

Re: Anybody have a 1974 Irwin 33 ?

Thank you both for the replies. The boat had been bought for the right price but she needs love. I learned of the no core on the cockpit floor where the wheel is mounted very loose and needs some serious strength added. But I'm excited to dig in to a great project. As for the Irwinboat group I have searched for it and would love to be a active member ... Only I can't find what your talking about . Is it through cruisers or is this a separate website ? I use cruisers on my phone mainly which I think holds back on a lot of options either way if you could point me in the direction of the group your talking about it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thank you again for both replies!
