Hi there I’m looking at buying a compass47 and was wondering how easy is it to tack the Genoa around the baby stay ?

P415, This isn't a Compass specific question. I'm assuming you're talking about the inner forestay- In which case, the answer is that it depends. In light wind on my cutter, I've had to run up to the sail and push it around, but 9/10 times it pulls through just fine.

I was going to buy one recently. During the sea trials it was pretty effortless tacking. We had about 15 knots of wind and went through a number of tacks on various points of sail.
We did some tacks furling about 50%, and others leaving the full sail out. I did not experience any issues.

Of course, it depends on the size/weight of Genoa, wind, etc etc....

They are very nice boats and they sail really really well.
