Anchor winch on 1980 Nordic 44

Good Morning All,

I am the owner (3rd) of a Nordic 44 ( Allan Perry) which is not equiped with an anchor winch. Moreover the anchor locker is not really very deep.
It is not very clear how the anchor winch should be installed.
Planning some sailing in areas where anchoring could be daily business I would like to equip her with a decent installation.
If any of you could sent me some pictures of excisting installations it
could inspire me how to tackle the problem......

Hi Sardinebreath,

Thank you again for the picture of your anchor winch. I would like to ask if it would be possible to make a few more showing how the winch was " build in " as the chain and the rope cover most of it. Apparantly the winch is installed on top of a support , probably holding the electric motor , but I wonder how the whole is fitted to be strong enough to hold the traction.
I am planning to do the work myself....
