No, I don't think so.

Julie probably did a search (like a lot here tell people to do) and added to it.

But like o_q said. Sailing stuff is out of date eh?

That's because YachtWorld offers brokers and dealers a "house"-branded version of the YachtWorld listing engine for use on the brokers own website, and listings there will also appear when searching on the YW site itself. Sort of a win-win as far as a broker is concerned.

As mentioned the main alternatives are straight-up Google searches, Kijiji, craigslist, and all the offline methods we used to use before the Internet.

Re: Alternatives to Yachtworld.com?

Hi:

An alternative is really needed today. Their site is profoundly broken at this end as of late. Seems they changed to "www.yachts-andboats-for-sale.com" Boat and Yacht Sales, Buy Boats and Yachts - YachtWorld.com and pretty much nothing works. New owners? Site hacked? Problem at my end?

Two different sites.

http://www.yachts-and-boats-for-sale.com/ = fake

Boats for Sale, New and Used Boats and Yachts - YachtWorld.com = the real one.

Yacht world advanced search is your best bet for finding boats. Years ago there was a good monthly boating news paper called Soundings, they had an extensive classified section with lots of boat listings both private sellers and brokers, Soundings has since been sold off and morphed into a much lesser lousy publication.

Re: Alternatives to Yachtworld.com?

I can recommend Boats For Sale: New and Used Yachts | Boatshop24. They have over 50,000 boats for sale on their sites and loads are located in the US, Germany, UK, Italy, France etc. A huge selection of high quality boats. I visited that site each day as new ads are being uploaded every day and found the perfect boat for me.

It's a very safe platform as each registered broker is being checked and they do a lot to keep the website safe and to prevent fraud/scam. That's what the broker selling my boat told me.

They have a scam rate of almost 0% - nothing compared to yachtworld!
