Aires 32 v Valiant 32

Hi all, I'm looking at a Valiant 32,1978, with the usual hull glass defect of blistering hull, although owner says only cosmetic.
The other boat is an Aries 32, age not disclosed, early 70's I guess.
Both have a good bluewater kit, solar, wind, wind vane etc.
Just a general question as to which would be the better performing boat for long distance bluewater sailing.
Located down south in Oz, so need to cross some oceans to get out of here maybe via a cape or two.
Only 2 up, both over 60, been sailing over 10years, souther Vic, Bass strait sort of stuff.
Better options?
We currently sail a 28' Swanson, semi full keel tub, just a tad small
