Advice looking in Ft Lauderdale area?

Hello, All...
I'm down in Ft Lauderdale area for two days and would love to look around the docks for various 38-45 footers available. This isn't a hard search or specific look (on this trip at least) where I'd normally find a broker to escort me around. I simply want to walk a few docks and look around for an afternoon. I don't know the area very well and wondering if there are a few large brokerage docks or recommended locations which might have new and used monohulls.

Any advise on good brokerage areas to walk around and look in/near Ft Lauderdale, Boca, etc..?

Ft Lauderdale is kinda hard, marinas are locked with security gates and you can't access the boats in the canals because they're behind private houses with no public access. That was my experience anyway. Best way to explore is from the water, if nothing else hire a little boat and go for a cruise.
