Not surprising but ours, C:\Slave, isn't listed, though there is a Sea Slave listed.

Here's our boat's namesake. It's a german lullabye. We are german:
La Le Lu
Only the man in the moon is looking
When the little babies sleep
So go to sleep, too.
La Le Lu
Two shoes are in front of the bed
And they are exactly as tired
Baby, as you.
Then comes the Sandman
He walks quietly in the house
Giving out his dreams
The most beautiful to you.
La Le Lu
Only the man in the moon is looking
When the little babies sleep
So go to sleep, too.
Of course we couldn't resist adding a Moon graphic to the transom:

LaLeLu, Great graphics. But how does that little outboard push the boat when it is way up on the rail like that??
I'll ask the wife if she knows that one. She is always singing some song about a red hat with three corners but my German is too poor to comprehend much of it.

Lessons learned the hard way never are forgotton. There is an up side if you don't get killed or injured. "Bob" works<g>. I'll retack anything I ever said to the contrary. Consider the cost of the boat lettering. Now we need a hailing port to go with it. Lets go! You don't even have to live or keep the boat there.
In the morning I'm headed up to the survey on the new boat. We are going to:
Bear, DE
Not sure how anyone can get shorter than that but we might be able to get this better. Shorter isn't ever bad when it come to boat names or hailing ports.

We have one every time we go out the channel.

Could be the same boat. Maybe?

Hmm...short home ports, eh? Have come up with (these are real)
Eek, AK
Why, AZ
Gas, KS
Bug, KY (one of favorites, Bob from Bug...)
Uno, KY,
Gay, MI
Podunk, MI (its not so short, but easily spelled, recognizable, and goes SO
well with "BOB")
Arm, MI
Rye, NH
Zap, ND
Ai, OH
Fly, OH
Zig Zag, OR (two words but so appropriate for sailing..)
Ono, and Uno, PA
Man, WV
Odd, WV
Van, WV,
War, WV,
Man, I found some INTERESTING town names in that search, too, but longer...some funny.

PBLAIS -- I agree about the hyphen, Lakota wasn't a written language and HOKAHEY is frequently written, for pronunciation purposed, HOKA-HEY. Easy to remember, but I am so used to it I wasn't sure others would be able to take a stab at spelling it. I THINK it passes the VHF test, it kinda is spelled phonetically.....
