48' Hull on Ebay - $1500

It's a little off topic but people have posted about restoration projects here before. I saw this today and thought that someone might be interested. It's a hull only and in Tucson. Go figure. I guess someone started it and gave up for whatever reason. I'm not affiliated with anybody with regard to this boat. Maybe it's a good deal and then again maybe not. It's not mine so that's why I didn't put it in classifieds. If there is a better forum then please move this post. BOB

A classic example of how not to use a jackstand on the hard!

When good hulls go bad

Mcguyver could fix that with bubblegum and duct tape. I saw that but I also wondered what damage is on the other side. Just posted it for those hands on do it yourselfers. Bob

$1500 is just the beginning of the costs. Boats that already work when you write the check are the better deal.

I don't get what the problem is here. A fellow could easily pour a quarter of a million dollars into this hull, only to end up with a vessel worth $90K.

Turn it upside down, cut a few port holes in the side and you would have the best house in the neighborhood in a lot of third world countries.

It would be a lot of fun to transport too. Looking at the photos, the deck is held in place with some C-clamps and I don't think there are any bulkheads inside at all.
