You're right about that, ad a minimum it will require a good inspection, I'd feel much safer sailing to Hawaii with a fresh aluminum mast, and I am sure that will not be cheap.

I have to agree with you, that interior would look sweet all cleaned up. I would really like to see some much better cushions on the Dinette as well, that would really help bring it alive.

Ha! Well strictly speaking la ruina in Spanish refers not a ruin of something but financial ruin, which probably accurately describes every boat!😃

On the contrary, make Murphy your best friend! Anything that CAN go wrong, will... It's a great way to scrutinize your, any, boat before setting out.

Its not Murphy that you need to appease you must pay appropriate homage to Neptunis Rex

Nope, I had an illegal imigrant with a car load of meth prematurely end my time in the Navy after he spun out in front of me on the interstate and I got tore up really bad as a result.
The time I did serve I was in the brown shoe navy.
The accident though is how I wound up spending a year at the base marina, that is where they stuck me while I was on limited duty.

Don got it right. It was meant as the financial ruin in Spanish. I am the grandson of the first owner and this is the boat I learned how to sail on. My grandfathers wife was Spanish hence the reason in Spanish.
