41 morgan out island lead ingot ballast

Looked at a late 70s 41 morgan out island , there were 30 or so virgin lead hockey pucks glued into the hull beneath the couch on the port side. I have never seen this before on a 41 oi, has anyone else?

Probably had the water tank on the starboard side.

Our 1982 OI has something (probably lead, about 14" x 24", I'm off the boat) glassed in beneath the port settee. The generator is on the starboard side in the engine room, same side as the 125 gal water tank. Probably to balance out the boat.
