i want to thank everyone that responded to my construction type request on the tartan 41. the balso core deck was found too far gone by hammer tap

i am on to a 1983 wilderness 38. the owner has no clue as to construction materails and core. the boats in a remote location and i want to make sure before i spend 12 hrs in a car that this is worth the trip.

anyone have any familaiorty with the boat and what its built of
