What do you think of a 1981 Bayfield 32C? I'm looking at it this Thursday.
It's for sale for 30,000? The bottom hasn't been painted since 2017 but it has other upgrades.

Ted Gozzard made some really wonderful boats. 30k feels high, but it depends on condition. Older boat, so be very sure the deck feels firm and look for water intrusion.
Here are the soldboats.com prices for all Bayfield 32's sold through Yacht World since Jan 1st 2019.
The price on this one is at the very high end of the list.
The boats are solid but if electrical and propane systems are original they should be thrown out. The original "seacocks" were home plumbing gate valves that had no place on a boat. Bayfield never heard of ABYC or Transport Canada Standards.

Not speaking to price or condition but I cruised a friends Bayfield 32 for a couple summers. Traditional, roomy, and a pretty good sailor for a cruising boat. My take on it is the bowsprit can be deceptive about how it swings, though after you get tired of knocking light pedestals and such over at the dock, you’ll adapt.
