1979 37ft CC O'day sailors to the Caribbean?

Ok, looking for O'day owners who have took one to the Caribbean.
No damn O'day crap boat remarks.

Mine went thru Irma here in the FL Keys.
Boot Key Harbor.
Out of 350 boats - mostly sail and some trawlers on the ball.
Only 50 made it.
Mine was one of them.
My hull is over 1inch thick. Deck is 3/4+ cored marine ply.

So plz no damn O'day remarks.
This is one tough boat.

Just wanting to know any weird issues you had taking a 37ft'er CC down to the islands. Thats all.
Thx alot

I saw one sailing in St. Martin about 10 years ago. I also cruised for a week on one in the Ches. Bay. They are fine for island hopping.

I have no comments to make about your boat because I know nothing of them but I do have a question, of the 300 or so boats that sunk. did they break their Moorings and then wash ashore or did they sink where they were moored?

OK, you are convinced that you have "one tough boat". Why are you asking us for opinions (that a priori can not be negative) then?

You might know that in relatively benign areas such as this, it is the skipper, not the boat, that most influences the outcome of a cruise.

Look inward, mate, for there lies the answer to your query.
