A small sailboat is so far removed from all political considerations in the NWP that it simply won't matter, unless there's open hostility and Canadian Coast Guard ships start accosting those entering. It's an exceedingly
remote and thinly populated area, and the people who live along the
route don't seem to care much for politics.
I do think we'll see a decrease in goodwill toward American cruisers in a lot of places while the [redacted] is in office, and I can only hope that other countries will act mature even while ours returns to infantile ways, and not tar us all with the same brush.
