Any story about the rate of sea level rise over short periods of time will be BS. Measure rate of sea level rise between low water and high water a few hours later and you will see why

Talking seriously now, you can start averaging to get a bigger sample but you will not be able to average out certain one-offs until the sample is much longer than a few years.

I do believe that man-caused climate change is likely to be happening, but there is some much BS around. Part of the problem is kids studying "environmental studies" that do not include real math and physics, let alone hydrology.
