Southern Labrador is a beautiful, distant, wild place that many of us do not have the opportunity to experience. Indian Cove and Battle Harbour are two adjacent resettled communities In Newfoundland and Labrador that showcase the 'Big Land' in all of its bold majesty. Check it out!!
We visited Battle Harbour on a road trip through the Atlantic provinces a couple of years ago. Is it still functional as a tourist destination? Are there still residents?
It is a magical place and I love what they were trying to do with it, but considering the difficulty of access and all the crap this year on top of that I was / am seriously concerned about its ability to survive.
