Re: Who can give us Sailing lessons onboard catamaran

I think you will find learning to sail / cruise is no big deal.
The most difficult part may be learning the nomenclature , the vocabulary .

This language must be understood to be safe , the difference between jib and jibe could get you killed.

Any basic sailing book should be fine , there are about 100-200 specific terms to learn , and understand..

Any old cruising book" Cruising under sail" " Voyaging under sail" Hiscock will explain what happens during a voyage.

With even a hand held GPS and a chart there is now little danger in cruising.

I don't agree. Having someone experienced on board accelerates the learning curve exponentially. Being new to sailing AND operating and maintaining a large boat and all it's systems is a challenge and having someone on board to help through myriad new experiences is prudent.

Just an example: assessing a potential anchoring spot. Especially in the Caribbean you need to evaluate the wind and wave forecast, bottom type, currents, local features such as reefs and shelter etc. In order to make a prudent decision. You can read all the books you want about it but experience is the best teacher.
