Re: South Florida Crew Available

Hi Neil,

I'm in Charleston, SC at the moment seeking a crewman to help me move boat to Cape Charles, VA.

I'll pay all expenses plus a little, depending on experience.

Shout out if you might be interested.

Cheers,

Rob

Hi Neil,

I don't know what your schedule is but I live in South Jersey and I have a 31-foot Dufour that I would like to take to Florida. I need someone experienced to help me thru this trip if I am being reasonable And not wanna make this a total death-defying quest. I am probably going to put it in the water in the next week or so after painting and what have you. I would be willing to pay you depending on your interest.
Thanks,
Gary Pattersom

Re: South Florida Crew Available

Hi Gary
Thanks for the invite,
However I have been picked up
for a Transatlantic crossing.
You are sailing south right at the start of
hurricane season. Most boats are headed north now.
Maybe a rethink is in order.
If you absolutely need to get the boat south
consider putting it on a trailer and going overland.
All in might even be less expensive.
You’re on a smaller boat so I assume
you will be doing large stretches of the ICW??
I certainly would
Stay safe , Fair winds
and Good Luck
Neil

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the invite,
However I have been picked up
for a Atlantic crossing leaving from
Florida on the 27th.
So unfortunately have to decline your
offer. It certainly has been a wacky
season with both boats and crew
stranded all over the Caribbean.
My original plan was to be on a boat
leaving from Antigua but couldn’t
fly in.
I believe we corresponded about a trip
a few years ago?? But don’t recall the outcome
Stay safe and Fair Winds
Neil
