Ok, so first question... Is Moorings worth it? It seems reasonable but with no experience renting
sailboats, hard for me to know. I've gone through the experience "verification" and am qualified to rent from Moorings in BVI
, so that's no issue.
Second question.... Is anyone interested in "sharing" (even split of costs) a Moorings rental this winter (COVID restrictions permitting)?
I'm an intermediate sailor with quite a bit of experience in Northern GOM and a few trips to Bahamas
on others boats. I'm looking for a week or two sailing in the Caribbean
and Moorings seems my only option. My current boat
is too small and it would take far too long (regardless of boat) to get there from NW FL. I know it's a bit sketchy to agree to a $$$ commitment with people you don't know; hence my query. Trying to manage SOME method of sailing in Carib this winter...
