SAN DIEGO: Looking for sailing opportunities as crew

Hello,

My name is Cayetano, I'm Spanish and I will be in San Diego (USA) from this September 2022 and during the next nine month.
I'll be working as expatriate for my agriculture sector company.
Of course that apart of working I will like to sail and test the Pacific sailing conditions.
I'm an experienced cruising and racing sailor.
In Spain I own a 40" Wauquiez SY
I'm Yachtmaster Ocean certified

I offer myself as a crew for any kind of sailing and sail yacht, racing or cruising, small or large sail boat. I can work in any position from skipper, tactician, trimer, halyards, sandwiches chef ...

With a good time organization I'll have free time for sailing during the weekend and week days. I also can organise my time to do some long sailing journeys of several days.

On the other hand, I think that a good way to look for opportunities will be going to the marinas and yacht clubs when there are some event; regattas, rally, meeting...

Which are the most popular places where I could have more options to meet yachts wanting crew?

Best winds ⛵

If you have no luck online..

Wednesday nights is a big beer can racing night. go down to shelter island or harbor island and ask around Wednesday afternoons.

Hello, thanks for the information, that I'll follow as soon as I arrive in SD.

One of the things that make me most excited about this trip to SD is to improve my nautical lexicon in English.

"Beer can racing"
What a nice expression!!

I lived in SD for most of my life, I moved away a few years ago but still spend a bunch of time down there. If you have any non-sailing questions, hit me up.
