Talking New

I'm a line cook who has always been intrigued by the sea, and I've recently found my self in the position of not knowing where to go next. I'm new to sailing (green, in fact), but I'm willing to learn. I'm in the Michigan/Great Lakes area and looking to try something different. Maybe become a member of a crew? If anyone has a hint of where i should start out, I'd love to apply my skill set on a vessel in my area and bring some tasty dishes to the table. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Re: New

Hi Ladylysial, Welcome to the forum, have you posted in the crew listings? (I haven't checked.) Everyone likes to eat. Hopefully you'll get some responses.

Re: New

g'Day, and welcome to CF.

From your post, it wasn't clear if you are looking for a paid crew position or a volunteer one. Big difference in requirements, so it would be good to specify what you are seeking.

Hope that you can find a spot... good seagoing cooks are a great addition to any crew!
