Looking to crew Downeast

I'm looking to purchase a 26-30 footer, such as a Cape Dory, for cruising the Maine Coast, but I'd like to get some more experience, in advance, aboard someone else's boat. Could be that size, or more in the 30-40 ft range, Contribution for expenses, negotiable. I am flexible, and eager.

I am recently retired, so I currently have plenty of time on my hands. I have some commitments on my calendar, but let's talk.

All reasonable offers considered.

Re: Looking to crew Downeast

I'm planning starting mid-May the transport of my newly purchased 2005 Beneteau 423 from near Toronto, through the Oswego/Erie Canals to the Hudson River and down the Atlantic to the Delaware Bay and then to the Upper Chesapeake Bay.
I may need some help. If you're free and interested please get back with your particulars.
Thanks, Tim

Re: Looking to crew Downeast

Hi. I have a 28.5 ft Ericson that I sail out of Rockland, Maine. I am also retired and would like to make some trips along the Maine coast this summer, possibly to Lubec, then Grand Manan, across to Nova Scotia, and would like a mate. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't like sailing. I plan to splash Valkyrie in mid May, but will wait for warmer weather for extended trips. Let me know if you are interested.

Traveling from near Toronto to Chesapeake in Beneteau 423 via Oswego/Erie Canal system. Need crew help from May 12 through June 4. Hope to hear back.
