We are looking for 1 or 2 crew for a trip from Sydney to Townsville. All on board expenses and travel costs are covered. This is a perfect opportunity for mile building.

Are yacht delivery crews exempt from the Queensland border restrictions? The authorities are very vigilant here now.

I’ve been stopped 3 times since Christmas by Marine Safety Queensland boats because I’m flying a Canadian flag. They want to make sure I did not enter from New South Wales or that I have a border pass to allow entry. I’ve been tempted to joke that I just sailed direct non stop from Canada but am afraid they may not have a sense of humour. I keep telling them I’ve been here in Queensland since June and had a pass for that time. They want ID and then let me continue on my way. All stops have been in the Southport area.
