I'm Dual Citizen USA / CANADA

35/M with no sailing experience looking to get some.
I'm a dual citizen of USA and Canada.
Spent the last few years spending way too much time on a computer / video games and I want to change my lifestyle, and eventually get my own boat, have to start somewhere they say.

Re: I'm Dual Citizen USA / CANADA

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

If you need further help let me know, I would be happy to.

Re: I'm Dual Citizen USA / CANADA

I'm sailing from Stuart,South Florida to Puerto Rico now via The Thornless path, via Bahamas. Tiss the season to head for The Caribbean. I have a fully equipped, and refitted 31ft Allman sloop. I'm looking for a crew member or two. There's plenty of room, as the boat is one of the best designed for cruising. The passage would take approximately 3 weeks. I would pay for your plane ticket back to the U.S. mainland, and provide food and provisions. I've re-posted this because of delays. I've had a few flaky people, also fearful people come aboard and leave within days in the past week. Sailing in protected islands isn't that tough. I know it's a given, but please be financially prepared not to have to bail out mid way because you're not able to take the three weeks off work. If you have a bold spirit and don't live in fear, and aren't going to flake out, call or text me.

Cheers,
