Crew Wanted: Delivery captain nad crew rates

Could anyone enlighten me what I should expect to pay an experienced captain for a delivery up the California coast? I remember years ago, captains charged per day and expenses. But other than that I have no idea how much we are talking about. Would a delivery to Hawaii cost more per day?

One of the few guys I'd trust charges $5/mile plus expenses, if you call with specifics he can give you an estimate. He's pretty busy, usually.

If you can find those looking to rack up their miles, there are many who advertise delivery at cost, plus food and travel expenses.
When I was looking for a delivery from the Outer Banks, NC to Mobile, AL, I found a few who gave quotes $1,000 - $1,200 range.
