Crossing North Indian Ocean

A HK registered 58ft cruiser (2008 Tayana 58DS) plans to cross Indian Ocean in late Summer 2017. Route : Crete > Egypt > Red Sea > Yamen > Oman > Maldives > Sri Lankar > Malyasia > Singapore > Vietnam > HK.
Boat will depart Crete (Greece) on 23/7 and arrive HK around end Oct.
Partial voyages are welcome. Share fuel and food costs.

Greetings KD Chu! My name is Lane and I'd to join you on you Indian Ocean voyage.

A little about me:

1. I am the father of two daughters who are both finishing their PhD's this year and are wonderful young ladies. My oldest daughter spent 3 years in the Philippines with the Peace Corps.
2. Single, 58 years old, and in excellent health (currently run 2 miles each day).
3. I have done some water sailing">blue water sailing and know my knots. My bother has a Lagoon 500 which I have sailed on as crew in the Caribbean.
4. Two University degrees: A Bachelor of Science in History and a Master’s degree in Philosophy.
5. Recent travels have been to Turkey, Greece, Croatia, and Bosnia.
6. Just finished a contract job at Kellogg's cereal as a Manager and am looking for something other than going back to a corporate life.
7. Great personality, hard worker, quick learner, and a good mate.
8. I can cover my travel expenses and help with whatever.

I am interested in crewing for you adventure. I have considerable experience - ASA instructor up to 108 and Coast Guard Captain's license - 50 ton Master. I have about 25,000 offshore miles experience. I have sailed many of the seas - but not the Indian ocean. I am 74 - fit and active - ride a bicycle 5 miles daily. Retired cardiologist.
