Crew for Georgian Bay

Hello, all out there. My boat is on the hard again for the winter. Time to think about next year.

My spouse is less and less enthused about sailing and my one grandson who is a great sailor has limited time.... so... time to ask.

Would anyone care to join me for day sails or short cruises in Southern Georgian Bay during the 2020 season starting as early as May and going into as late as (mid) October?

The boat is a Catalina MkII 36 (2001). I have decent experience, now 75 years old and (more than) spry (LOL). For overnight/extended cruises I always go to anchorages. Willing to take an sailing apprentice with me!

I sail out of Midland, Ontario.

Re: Crew for Georgian Bay

I would have to consider myself a sailing apprentice and very much like the idea of extended crusing would give me/us some time to say hello. My plan is to travel back to Ontario to visit family and would like to possibly have the opportunity to get back on the water.

How about a young (mid-60s) couple? We normally sail out of Kingston but a visit to Midland would make a nice change of scenery.

I'll send you a PM with contact info.

Hello. I am new to sailing, my 11 year old grandson has two seasons experience and has decided it is what he wants to do with his life. If you would consider us to sail with you let us know. We live in the southern Georgian Bay area.

I’m (32) always looking for good company and sailing. My first ever cruise was out of midland. Loved it so much, I made a career out of sailing. I’m good in foul weather. Better in fair weather. Email me, mostapiak@gmail.com. Would be cool to get to know you.

Re: Crew for Georgian Bay

Hello
I will be sailing out of Victoria Harbour next year and have several years experience in Georgian Bay. Being retired I have lots of free time on my hands. I am also newer to sailing so some different experience would be a great thing. Send me a PM if interested.
All the best
Nick

Re: Crew for Georgian Bay

Hi there.
I am a mostly retired, healthy 66 year with a 27 foot C and C Mark 5 sailboat in Collingwood (where I live). I have sailed out your way and would love to hook up with similarily lucky souls to explore the 30,000 Islands this summer. I have completed a number of Canadian and American sailing courses. If interested, give me a call, lets have a beer and plan some local adventures!

Re: Crew for Georgian Bay

Hi, I'm 49 and have been sailing in Lake ON for many years first on an SR 21 (C&C) and more recently on an Olson 25 which I share with two friends. I also have some blue water experience in the North Atlantic (2018). I'm not retired but have lots of flexibility to take time off. I've never sailed in GB and it's something I'm looking forward to do.
May be we can get together in the next weeks and learn more about our interests.

Hello,
I (34) have taken the basic cruising course and would love to gain more experience sailing. I am a member of a sailing club in Cooks Bay.
I live about 1.5 hour south of Midland.
Available during the weekends.

Hello Ann, are you still interested in crewing on a sailboat? I own a Hanse 418 moored near Port Severn. Cheers, Greg.
