Greetings all! My wife and I just finished ASA 101 and 103 courses. We live in LA and would welcome opportunities to sail: daysailing, deliveries, channel islands, longer cruises (baja, etc.)...we are open to whatever opportunities might present themselves, and we are excited to learn.

We're in our mid-thirties and are working on saving enough $$ to stop working so we can buy a boat of our own and start cruising full-time.

In the meantime, we would love to get out on some shorter journeys, to see some new places, and to meet some great people!

I am in Ventura/Oxnard preparing a 34 foot junk schooner for ocean voyaging. I plan to sail down to Puerto Vallarta leaving at the end of March, then to Hawaii and finally Seattle, all by the end of June. If you would be interested in any or all of these three legs of the voyage, please contact me via this forum (there is a private mail facility you can use). I am a retired economics professor and have been sailing for the last 45 years. This will be my maiden voyage on this boat, so I plan to start by harbor hopping S to Ensenada; after that it will be an offshore experience of over a week to Puerto Vallarta, and 3+ weeks for the two longer legs.
