Op I'd suggest you join the local sailing club and crew for round the cans
racing. Gain some experience whilst you're waiting. Get to meet a few skippers and you might luck helping on a short
delivery or three. Add some experience to your resume.
I'd also suggest that in your post include what skills you have and some more about yourself. Can you cook? Do you have special dietary requirements? Are you healthy and reasonably fit? Can you navigate? Do you have your own
gear to bring, ie wet
weather set, sea boots, etc.
There's a big difference between being crew and being a passenger. Most skippers want drug free, fit, healthy, positive people who are eager to learn and
work.
