Does anyone have any info on how safe the inner islands of the seychelles are for a sailing trip.

Don't know but it is beautiful remote sailing. Wish I was going back.

Interesting question. They aren't too far from Ethiopia, and have the highest income inequality in the world. Nevertheless, English and French are two of its three official languages.

you need to watch out for the strong winds and currents around many of the islands and reef anchorages.
pass entrances can be interesting,with swift currents and not well marked.

otherwise the locals are friendly with crime virtually non existent.

I have not heard of any recent incidents but in the past the Indian Ocean pirates have attacked vessels in the waters around the Seychelles. Wouldn't hurt to get detailed updates on activity in the area.
