NINGALOO REEF SWIM WITH WHALE SHARKS

SY Platypus reports further on their cruise around Australian coast including a rare opportunity to swim with and touch an 8 metre whale shark!! Fantastic photo! The article is free to download from www.thecoastalpassage.com on the home page click "recent editions" and follow the instructions to download the pdf file of issue # 19, the newest.

This is a phenominal area for swimming/diving, and not well known even inside Aus. The reef, coral bay, monkey mia, and shark bay are definitely places you should never go to (so I can enjoy them better on my own)

Swimming alongside one of these beasties is a highlight I will never forget.
But just so anyone does not do anything wrong - touching them is risky for the whale - so it is actually prohibited.
