I guess that there must be some cheap boats in Dubai if the car market is anything to go by - 3,500 a week being abandoned at the airport by expats on a one way ticket out. Now that's what I call a 'credit crunch'!

I was in Abu Dhabi earlier this year.

The marina there was due to be demolished. The operator was tryuing to "get rid of" about 30 boats whose rent hadn't been paid for months, they were offered free to anyone who would take them away - no takers.
