G'day, Mate. Most of the cruising fleet departs in late April and May. Having said that, you will find there are cruising yachts clearing customs any month of the year. All the best. Cheers.

What port are you going to clear out of and what direction are you heading? Alot of cruisers gather around the Bay of Islands in the early autumn. Good place to do the final stock up as you wait for a good weather window to head out. Just be patient for the window. Do not be driven by somekind of schedule if you can help it. Cheers

Well, I'll be hanging around the Coromandel and can literally clear out of any port situated in the North island. I also will be pretty flexible as for the date since my only dead line is the 6th of July when I basically will be kicked out if the country...

G'day, Mate. You can clear out of Mardsen Cove Marina, next to the Oil Refinery, in Whangarei and then there is Opua. If you start to get close to your July 6th date, just work closely with Customs and Immigration (they act as one agency in Whangarei and Opua). I have yet to hear of anyone who was forced to leave on a specific date when severe weather was either impacting or about to impact someone's departure. Safe travels. Cheers
