Yeah. I woke up this morning. Got onto the news and behold. I seen this article about the volcano.

Then I got to start thinking of any cruisers or people possibly thinking of sailing into that area. And this is going on. Sheeesh!!

But that's how things work here on earth. Mother nature doing her work. And wahlah.

Wukong.

That story is not even directly close to the sailing community.

Yeah. It's a interesting story. But not related with the cruising crowd. Or with this thread!!

And thank you for hi-jacking my thread!!

Wukong.

There is nothing for me to chill out about here.

I think you've underestimated yourself? Maybe you're the one that needs the chill pill?

Some other interesting “news” we shouldn't have to live without:

Study: Dolphins Not So Intelligent On Land http://www.theonion.com/content/node/45360
”GAINESVILLE, FL—Although dolphins have long been celebrated for their high intelligence and for appearing to have a complex language, a team of researchers at the University of Florida reported Monday that these traits are markedly less evident on dry land.
According to study researchers, a group of 25 bottlenose dolphins removed from their holding tanks failed 11 exercises designed to test their basic cognitive abilities and reasoning skills.
"The dolphins were incapable of recognizing and repeating simple gestures," said study co-author Dr. Scott Lindell. "Their non-verbal communications were limited to a rapid constriction and expansion of the blowhole, various incomprehensible fin motions, and heavy tremors while they lay prone on the lab table." ...”

hey, i've met more than a few powerboaters that seemed incapable of simple reasoning at sea, so i guess it cuts both ways. but, i have to say, those same boaters never seem to have trouble with the simple gestures used to indicate they have the right of way (even when they don't)!
