We are in active negotiations with the Government of Cambodia to open an office in the marina for boaters arrival clearance. We will bring customs and border guards in the marina.

The first marina in Cambodia - Marina Oceania - is under construction here, due to open for visiting yachts by October 2013. Position 10° 38.3'N, 103° 29'E....

Re: The First Marina in Cambodia. Soon

We are pleased to inform you but the floating pontoons with mooring fingers are installed. Built concrete road from the naval base KohPrib to marina berths.
At the construction stage of the marina office.
However, we approach the boat and the first yacht 40f Calypto from Australia is in the marina .
Basic services we provide: fuel, water, food, etc.
Guard on duty in the marina 24 hours.

Re: The First Marina in Cambodia. Soon

Very important and not very nice information for boaters.

Sihanoukville port authorities set very high fees for visiting yachts and boats in the harbor. We succeeded in the negotiation process to reduce these payments from the original 700 to 280-300 dollars. That is a lot and we will continue negotiations to reduce these payments.

So the current situation is as follows:
There are two ways of paperwork for the arrival of the boat.:

1. In the port of Sihanoukville through the state agency KAMSAB (Shipping Agency, Logistic Service, Cruise and Passenger Service in Cambodia) are coming following rates:
- port charges $ 150
- The relevant authorities: the immigration police, customs, port captain, quarantine services, agent $ 100
- Services KAMSAB $ 50
Total $ 300 for a 2 month stay in the waters and on the territory of Cambodia.
If desired to extend the stay in Cambodia for more than 2 months, you have to pay back $ 300 per two month . (Promise you, dear boatmen that we will try to reduce these costs and wild requirements to a minimum.)

2. In the port of Stung Hav (15 miles from the port of Sihanoukville in a northerly direction):
- The same services as in Sihanoukville, but the cost of the entire package of $ 280 for 6 months of being in the waters and on the territory of Cambodia.
In the port of Stung Hav paperwork also makes branch of the state agent KAMSAB.
Note: Stung Hav port is currently only built and not even marked on the map and charts (including Google).
During the voyage to this port from the port of Sihanoukville KAMSAB agent will come to you on board. This service is free (soft drinks only).
After the formalities, you have to go back to Sihanoukville.

When docking more than 6 months:
You must leave the port for a short time in the sea and then you can come back to the marina Oceania.. In this case you have to pay back $ 280 all payments, but without the trip to Stung Hav.
(Once again: We promise you, dear boatmen that we will try to reduce these costs and wild claims to a minimum.)

For completing all formalities without delays send by e-mail Marina Oceania Harbor Master copies of the following documents:
- Passports of crew members and passengers
- Documents on the boat with the data: name, flag, dimensions
- Also report : last port of call and estimated time of arrival (ETA)
Note: Prepare 4x5sm one photo for each person

Visa on arrival in Sihanoukville for boaters.
We continue to take care of your visa on arrival for $ 25 for 1 month.
You can also get a visa at the Embassy of Cambodia.
We are trying to get permission to use the e-visa on arrival in Sihanoukville. On the results we immediately reported the news.

Re: The First Marina in Cambodia. Soon

Lord sailors!
For comparison with the above requisitions. I ask to share information about the fees and charges in neighboring Cambodia countries: Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, and others as you wish.
I have in the negotiations with the Khmer officials operate with facts from other countries.

Re: The First Marina in Cambodia. Soon

Thanks for keeping us informed. We are kinda heading the wrong way around, but taking our time, and expect to get to yours in a year or so... but who knows, sometimes plans change, accelerate, whatever!

We both loved Cambodia when we visited, and can't wait to come back.

I am half owner of the abovementioned vessel. Her name is Calypte not Calypto and is Langkawiian not Australian. Minor details I guess but I felt these required clarification. My partner and I will post some true and relevent information in the next few days.We have cruised to Cambodia on a number of ocassions now and it is easier than is being made out...
